Lizzo - 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)

It's a deceptively simple and happy pop-disco song about a woman asking her friends if they think she's ready to let someone love her. I don't know if it's the key change near the end or slight deepening of the tone when she reaches the line "Yesterday I would have run away, and I don't know why. I don't know why" but I almost always tear up near the end. I'm having a hard time imaging a pop star that could balance that unguarded anxiety with energetic joy the way Lizzo does. It's good shit!
